COSMETOLOGY

Cosmetology is a wonderful and exciting field to explore. There are many different careers that you can choose from. Those range anywhere from hair and nails, to skin and feet. If you wnat to work with hair there are several different options like cutting, coloring and styling. You can give manicures, pedicures or facials; all of which are great, promising field to enter. If you are more into health care, you could become an esthetician and work with skin care . In that field you could find new ways to make your skin look younger and healthier. Whichever field you choose you can always let your inner self out and be as creative as you want. You will meet many new and one-of-a-kind people in the Cosmetoloy Program, that you will treasure for your life.

Ken Paves Ken Paves is, and always has been, a family man. He grew up out midwest in a very large family. His first client was his own mother, who had to suffer through his learning stages with at-home perms. Even though he did his mom's hair at age 14, he still went to school and learned to teach deaf children. It was after he graduated that his father told him to do something he enjoys, not just something that he gets paid to do without joy. Ken wasn't completely sure about becoming a cosmetologist, but with the help of a friend, enrolled and attented teh Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto. After graduating from there, Ken applied, and was denied his first job. Then, his second job he applied to., he was accepted. It was at The Queue Salon. After moving up at his jobs, he is finally back in New York - and has opened up his own salon with Dena Collinger, the same friend that had convinced Ken to go to Vidal Sassoon. He has made his own mark in the Cosmetology world, working on famous clients such as Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez.
