The Serpent is an instrument from the Brass family, it is made, historically from wood, although other materials such as brass were used. It is most related to an even earlier type of wind instrument called the cornet witch was also sometimes made of wood. Serpents have been made from fiberglass, plastic, synthetic faom resins and even paper mache.

No one really knows how the Serpent came into this world. It is known that it was developed to fill this gap in the spectrum of low pitched musical instruments, and that a French clergyman called Canon Edme Guillaume played a part in its creation. Some believe that it was made by the Serpent himself. After the years it has become a luck instrument to be held in a museum
“The National Music Museum” holds this serpent in South Dakota
I'm the Serpent that made the Serptent!
