The Tyrannosaurus-rex, also known s T-Rex is one of the largest land carnivores of all time. It stands 15 to 20 feet tall and 13.5 feet at the hips. The T-Rex is about 40 feet long and is said to have weighed almost 8 tons. It has rough scaly skinIts genus is Tyrannosaurus and its species is T-Rex.
Interesting Facts! - The T-Rex's arms were only 3 feet long. - There have been T-Rex fossils found in North west America. -Scientists say that this dino can eat up to 500 pounds of meat in one bite !
This is the man who found the first fossil of the Tyrannosaurus- Rex. His name is Barnum Brown. Brown discovered the fossil in 1902. His finding made him one of the most famous fossil hunters in his time.
