Light the Night Walk
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
"Walk as if your life depends on it. Walk because someone's life does."

The entire goal of the walk is to raise funds and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. By combining the uses of speech, images, and words, my personal team raised over $1,300, and the entire walk raised over $1 million. We accomplished, and even surpassed, our goal by far.
WORDS The phrase Light the Night is the entire focus: • symbolized through the lit-up balloons and the fact the walk is during the night • symbolizes breaking through the darkness of cancer with a brighter future
SPEECH 1. At first, we had to talk to anyone and everyone to try to raise money and get donations for the society. 2. I've had an ear infection over the past week, and have been quite hard of hearing. So during the actual walk, I had to communicate with my team members and it was difficult to hear with the infection, plus all the music, conversations, and other loud noises.
Not only did we have to talk to people to raise funds, but we used the Internet to connect to others to collect donations and get walkers.
