- In 2002, one-third of teens had not received any formal instruction about contraception
KIDS NEED TO KNOW MORE THAN JUST HOW BABIES ARE MADE.
- Of the approximately 750,000 teen pregnancies that occur each year, 82% are unintended. More than one-quarter end in abortion
- One-quarter of sexually experienced teens had not received instruction about abstinence before first sex.
They need to know the facts about sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, and prevention.
Save the awkward conversations. Teach sex education in public schools.
