Achievements Thomas Hobbes wrote the The Leviathan, which is a book about the structure of society and government. It was one of the first and most influencial versions of the social contract theory. Hobbes also researched the behavior and natural instincts of a human being.

Before Thomas even began to study he faced multiple obstacles. He was one of three children in his family and his father abandoned him, his mother and other siblings to escape punishment. He perservered and was determined to get go somewhere in life. After his education at Oxford University he had to flee England due to political turmoil and continue his studies in many different countries.
Thomas Hobbes' work is believed and valued by many scholars including Galileo and Rene Descartes. Oliver Cromwell and the English Revolutionaries also follow his studies. The monarchs of both back then present times believe and take into consideration his studies. Even our current democratic republic style government uses his ideas and beliefes. All of these people and groups followed him because his research demonstrates the behavior of humans and what is required for a peaceful and efficient society.
Mr. Hobbes' work impacted the modern world greatly. His studies of the best ways to run a fair and efficient government are the base of most of our laws and common rules. The USA is able to run and work so well because of his research.
