Pochahontas was doughter of Wahunsunacawh, allso known as chief Powhatan. He ruled the whole Virginia coastline regin in USA at his time. Pochahontas newer learned to read or write so all we know about her has been told from generation to generation. The legende is about the princess and the meating between the indians and the white men(englishmen) . The one she found most likable was Capten John Smith.. He was leading an expedition and looking for gold at the new land when he was taken captive by the Indians, because they felt threaten. Smith was forced to stretsh out on two gigantic flat stones. Indians stood over him with clubs as though ready to beat him to death if ordered. Suddenly Pocahontas rushed in and took smiths head in her arms and laid her owne upon his to save him from death.. She managed to ”convince Powahatan not to kill him. Pocahontas and Smith were in love with eahoter. This was a good excamlpe and a new start of a better reationship between the people from two different worlds. the romantic aspects of Pocahontas life and the legende will no doubt stand out in history forever.
