Cross selling is when it takes you to an item that is associated with the item you'r viewing. An example of this is when you are buying a snowboard and it takes you to a pair of bindings.
Up selling is when you are buying something and it takes you to a similar but more expensive item. An example of an upsell is if you are buying WaWa coffee and instead you go to Starbucks.

Promotion is when a site refers you to an item that is a top seller or on sale. An example of promotion is if you are going to buy a Mp3 player it will take you to an IPod touch.
A Smart card is a thing that looks like a credit card and has a microchip in it. It can be used for many different purposes. An Example of an Smart card is useing E-Z pass to get through the highways and not stoping. Another one is when you go to college your parents can put money on it so that you can buy things that are needed for college. An exanple is Lion Cash.
