Hernan Cortez
Cortez was a Spanish sailor who landed on the coast of Mexico close to present day Veracruz with only 600 men, some cannons and a few horses. Once he arrived with his crew he burned the ship to tell the crew that they weren't leaving until they conquered the land. Cortes encounterded one of the most advanced cilvillzations of the day, the Aztecs. After the Aztecs gave their kindom up to Cortes thinking he was the reincarnation of a god, Cortes's men destroyed the city and took over their vast empire. The Incas were smart, wealthy and slowly declining. Once Pizzaro and his men came in and they immideatly started killing and stealing the incan treasures with their guns, diseases and steal swords. Soon the vast empire of the Incas was destroyed and their tooms were raided for gold do to the greety ways of the Spanish Conquistadors and Pizzaro.
