Some forests are rich in biological diversity. Deforestation can cause the destruction of the habitats that support this biological diversity- thus causing populatoion shift and extinction.
Our dear forests are dying because of us. Trees give us oxygen that every human being needs to survive. With deforestation, there are less trees and we would need more oxygen because of our growing population.
In places of implementing programs to help the poor, these goverments concentrate on the cheapest, easiest, way to keep poverty out of sight and give the poor no option but to force other species out and themselves in. .

Key Questions . . . How can we prevent deforestation? How can we persuade people to make a change? What alternative resources can we use instead of wood? What will happen if we don't stop deforestation? even though people know about deforestation, why don't they stop?
Facts . . . Did you know that forests worth 20 football fields are lost every minute?
