Heathcliff is very loyal. He loves Catherine even in death. On pg 275, Heathcliff said, "I thought, once, I would have stayed there, when I saw her face again - it is hers yet - he had hard work to stir me;" Heathcliff was rejected by most people he knew at a young age. On page 36, Nelly said, "They enirely refused to have it in bed with them, or even in their room, and I had no more sense, so I put it on the landing of the stairs, hoping it might be gone by the morrow."
