Mistishen's Origin: I once went upstate with my family to our places of origin. We went around to all of these little towns nestled into the mountains like young pups to their mother. In Elysburg, I found this one place where everything was serene. It was a myriad of things that should not have harmonized, but they did harmonize. This struck me as odd. I realized then that not only similar things can come together to be in harmony. I loved to visit this spot every time that my family went upstate. The nearest sign to this wonderful place said, “Mistishen.” I built my restaurant down the road from this wonderous place, and I still visit it. Ellen Dallatore - Owner
