The Separate But Equal Law established in 1896, occurred because of the Plessy vs. Ferguson case of a man sitting in the 'white only' seat in a railroad car. It ruled that common use facilities like bathrooms, water fountains, schools, and theaters didn't dicriminate if separated.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. states, 'A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or law of God.'
Black Panther Party believed black people had the right to self defense by violence. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in resolving segregation using nonviolent methods like marches, rallies, sit-ins, and speeches.
