Trapped in this box covered in splinters Fingers bleeding with lies Until they all drain away
leaving nothing but truth When you see all the lies stripped away
See me down to my flesh and bone Exposed and shamed with arms open but eyes shut
Afraid of how you’ll see me now Playing all my failures and mistakes
Like movies running through your head And all I want is to light them on fire
As if nothing happened before you There is only us and the world was only an illusion
Just a form of entertainment to keep us occupied Until we realized we had the world in each other’s eyes
