The Hidden Light
I am hiddin beneath this mask I wear upon my face. I am unknown to the world and keep to the shadows. This is the real me.
All alone I sit here, waiting for something to happen. NO friends to reasure my feelings. No one but this lonely apparment and the comfort of the darkness.
In this darkness of false hope and unfinished dreams I lose myself. Falling into utter despair.
The feeling is cold and unfamiliar Like a soundless tide pulling you away from the safe shores out into the open ocean.
And as I drift in the tears of thousands of people, I wonder what it would be like to be accepted in the world, instead of getting the cold shoulder.
As I sit and wish on foolish dreams, a clock chimes 12 meaning another day has gone by without meaning, a boring unfulfilled day.
I slip into the dark chilly covers of my bed and I do something out of ordinary. I pray to the invisible yet encouraging Heavens that one day I may know what it feels like to walk in the light of day.
