What should I do on Glogster?

Glogster is a revolutionary way of expressing your mood, feelings and ideas, and it goes miles beyond text or video! Creating a Glog lets you express all those things you haven’t been able to describe by words. It opens the door to a whole new world of communication – just choose a background, throw in some shapes and characters from our galleries, add text, your own videos or photos and perhaps a pinch of music and there it is! In just a few minutes, you can make a digital poster, a colorful medley of ideas, reflecting your own special style.

What are G points?

G points are a reward for your activity on Glogster. Simply put – the more active you are, the more G you have. This includes creating good Glogs, inviting friends and telling the world about Glogster. Promoting your Glog online and embedding it is worth most Gs.

People with a high G count are the most respected Gloggers. If you have lots of Gs, it means that you’re an elite Glogger. Gs are your virtual credits, for which you will be able to buy stuff on Glogster.

How do I get more G points?

  1. It’s not necessary to have hundreds of Glogs, but your Glogs have to be good – slick and interesting. When you have a good Glog, you should take it for a ride – send it to your friends, embed it in your online profiles and show it on the Web. We see your activity with the Glog and reward you with Gs. To find out how to do these things with your Glog, read the related questions here in FAQ! When your Glog is out there and it’s popular, we know about it – and it can become a Mover and Shaker (read „What are Movers and Shakers?“).

  2. If you‘re not working on showing off your Glogs online, you can get Gs for other things. Inviting other people to join Glogster is a great way to make Gs – and all you need to do is click the Invite a Friend button in your profile! What are Movers and Shakers?

Movers and Shakers are chosen by us – the Glogster Team. It is a group of Glogs that we think are the greatest on Glogster. If your Glog is a Mover and Shaker, it means that we really like it, that it’s slick, creative, funny, innovative or really interesting in any way.

If you have a Mover and Shaker, you are probably one of the best Gloggers! There is another category – Half Shakers, Glogs which we consider very good, but which still require some refining. A Half Shaker can become a Mover and Shaker eventually.

What is G-lab?

G-lab is the place where you create Glogster. Here, you can shout out your wishes and we will listen. In G-lab, you can have your say to the way Glogster works and suggest improvements. You can also let us know what you’d like to win in the next Contest, or simply write what Glogging means to you.

We analyse all the posts and take inspiration from your ideas. G-lab also works as a social hub where you can discuss stuff with other Gloggers. Members of the Glogster Commando can also create forums on G-lab. Glogster is yours!

What is Glogster Commando?

The Commando is an elite group of the best Gloggers on Glogster. Getting into the Commando isn’t just about making lots of Glogs or chasing G points. It’s a complex thing. What really gets you into Commando is a true enthusiasm for Glogging!

What is a Private Glog?

If a Glog is Private, it is not displayed on Glogster. Only the people who know its adress can see it. For example, if you are a teacher and your students create Glogs as courseworks, they can make Private Glogs.

A Glog that is Private can only be shared by its creator, so nobody can present your Glog as their own, which could sometimes happen with Public Glogs. If a Glog is Public, any user can view, print or embed it in another webpage.

What is Rating?

Rating shows how popular your Glog is on a classic five-star scale. It appears under every Glog. However, a Glog can only get into Top Glogs if it’s been rated by more than 10 people. The more people give fair ratings to good Glogs, the more the really great ones stand out. Please rate fairly.

What is an inappropriate content?

Inappropriate content is any content that contains racial hate, nudity, pornography or anything unsuitable for an audience of 18 years and younger. If 5 users click the inappropriate tag on your Glog, the Glog will be hidden. Then, only our administrators can change the state of your Glog. If the Glogster Team finds any Glog inappropriate, it will be erased immediately.

Block user

By clicking the block user button it allows you to block any user you do not wish to receive messages from as well as blocks them from commenting on that users glogs. If you are blocked by 20 users then you will be globally blacklisted on Glogster.
