In picture one you see a stelar nursury where srtars are being formed as shown on pic 2. In pic 2 this little spec of light and heat is not yet a star but well on its way. after a while it will start to fusse its hydrogen atoms together (nuclear fussion) turning into a star. In pic 3 you see a main sequence star where it is fussing most of its hydrogen and will later expand into a red giant. In pic 4 the red giant is slowly dieing here it can take 2 diff paths into pic 5 or pic 6. in pic 5 the star jus sheds it,s radiation and cools off into a white dwarf. In Pic 6 the red giant lost control of its gravity and exploded. After a supernova it could either colaps on its self and turn into a black hole pic 7 or jus calm into a nebula pic 8. pic 9 is a pulsar a spinning nutron star.
