No one ever dreamed that he would be great man someday. But Andy surprised them all. He became a brave general whose soldiers nicknamed him Hickory Old for his strength and courage. After he led the U.S. Army to Victory at the battle of New Orleans. Later, he served as the seventh president of the United States. But throughout his life, Andrew Jackso always remembered growing up poor. He fought for the plain, common folks, and they loved him.
