Carli, since we first met in 2007, we were best friends. I didn't know why, I don't even remember first seeing you. But I remember thinking that you were just like me.
You sat behind me in chorus, and yelled at Megan for talking and for poking me.
You understood my temper, and my non-religious ways. You never once made me feel like you truly didn't care about me. Even when we fought. (Which was often)
I knew you were a dreamer, you knew my plans were too big for this town, this state, who knows, maybe the country.
We understood eachother
Whenever we fought, whenever we cried, we forgave eachother, and never stayed angry for long. We both had tempers, and big dreams. You know I hate the mushy stuff, but I just couldn't resist. Any favorite memories, Carli? Maybe the eyeglass case you gave me with all our memories inside it, trinkets, the bunny eraser, those 'magic stones' from our first play.
Oh yes, who could forget the first play? It involved extravagant costumes, horrid songs, and vicious murders. Dark and light, and scene changes. And of course, Mr. Brown. 'And I'm taking these for EVIDENCE!' *munch munch munch*
So this is part one of your christmas gift. A glog just for you. To help you remember. Even though you're halfway across the country, maybe if you read this I'll feel close again. You're the closest I have to a sister, somebody just like me. After all, you ARE me.. Only blonde. I love how we can tell people that we're sisters, and they immidietly believe it. I love that we can tell if something's wrong, or exactly what the other person needs. I wish I could tell you all this in person, and that I could hug you and pass you notes during class. Write fake names on attendance sheets (Mr. Powell still has no idea what my name is) and slap whoever makes you mad. I'm rash, it's true, but you've always forgiven me. So here's to the girl who tackles people when dismounting airplanes, and doesn't laugh when her best friend arrives on a windy rainy day in a loose cotton halter dress, and is freezing out of her head. To you, Carli. Lylas. Love Kat.
