''Color hate defined the place of black life as below that of white life,''
THE BLACK BOY
I believe that this book, ful of action, adventures, and struggles would make a great movie. And I truly encourage producers to create a movie from this book. I think that at least everybody shoul read it. I promise you won't regreat it. It would help you to fulfill your goals and to succeed. Read it! it would show you how struggles leads to progress. Don't say anything till syou read the book and prove what I just told you. Read It now before is too late.
Black Boy tells the tale of a black man’s intensely painful journey as he tries to overcome discrimination and segregation in the South during the Jim Crow era. To accomplish this Wright begins his autobiography as a young boy growing up in Mississippi where he struggles against his own strong will and his mighty sense of justice within an environment that demands subsistence. Wright’s impassioned story depicts the American hunger in climate of prejudice and contempt that so isolates a young person that his anger becomes the ruling force in his life.
''Trying to please everybody, I pleased nobody.''
He wonders if a black man "ever live like a halfway decent human being in this goddamn country."
