QUESTION 1 The DOVE video shows that in the beauty industry people are forced to enhance their looks and alter them to make themselves look perfect in every way. This may be a perfect way to advertise products or draw attention, but this also lowers other people's self esteem. How the media portrays beauty is by making their models perfect in every way by altering their appearances which does make the model look beautiful, but also makes it look fake compared to the real world. This makes the viewer want to look perfect which is nearly impossible, but that is what the media is trying to show.
QUESTION 2 The viewer may see beauty in magazines, TV and the internet as perfection. People might want to enhance their looks using make-up, cosmetics and other beauty products that have no greater affect to their looks. People see beauty from different prospectives, but in the media industry it is all about perfection and altering the looks of someone to fit the style.
QUESTION 3 In the past the technology to enhance someone's look wasn't as advanced as the technology now and most people would have felt good about themselves, but the technology now can make someone look so perfect that it is almost impossible to look as good as them. In the future the technology might be so advanced that the media might make a person perfect to every little detail on their skin which is impossible to do in real life. This can affect how a person sees themselves.
