Elizabeth I was born September 7, 1535 to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn at Greenwich Palace. The birth of Elizabeth was the greatest disappointments of her father's life. On May 19, 1536 Anne Bolyen was excuted on false charges. Leaving Elizabeth deprived of her line to succed Henry. Henry got married four other times before dying. His thrid marriage to Jane Seymour brought him a son named Edward. As a child Elizabeth was given an excellent education. By the time she was an adult she could speak 5 languages. In the summer of 1553 Edward died and Mary, Elizabeth's half sister, took the throne. Mary didn't like Elizabeth. After being under suspicion of helping with Wyatt rebellions, Elizabeth was sent to the Tower of London as a prisoner. Elizabeth would eventually succed Mary after her death and become Queen of England on November 17, 1558.

When Elizabeth found out she was the Queen of England she was sitting under an Oak tree eating an apple. 5. Elizabeth died on March 24, 1603 at age 69. 6. Elizabeth reigned for 44 years and 4 months. 7. Westminster Abbey, London is where Elizabeth is buries. 8. Besides being known as The Virgin Queen, Elizabeth is also rembered as Good Queen Bess, Gloriana. 9. Queen Elizabeth was buried with her sister. 10. Elizabeth was given a magnificent Christening at Greenwich when she was only three days old.
