Materials: Greeks architecture was mainly built out of wood, unbaked bricks, plaster, limestone and marble, terracotta, and metals. (mainly bronze) Wood was used to support roofs beams. Bathtubs and sinks were made with plaster. Unbaked bricks made walls and private homes. Marble and limestone were used for columns, buildings, homes, and upper parts of temples. Metal was used for decorating. Except, these materials were used for five basic buildings: 1. Religous 2. Civic 3. Domestic 4. Funerary and 5. Recreational
Public Architecture: Temples were most common to see in Greece, but not the only thing. They built statues, helmets, and different kinds of weapons. Greece also had a theatre that held meetings as well dramatic plays.
