I think that after his incounter with the headless horse man Ichabod Crane left sleepy hollow and went to New York City. i think that because in the story some one said that they saw him in New York City.

I think that the headless horseman is a myth and that in the story Brom Bones is really the headless horseman and he does it to scare away Ichabod and get the girl.
