1.If you can eat it fry it! 2.If it’s sweet put it in a cobbler! 3.Don’t use none of that fake stuff! 4.Sweet Tea’s the only belly washer! 5.Grits are for all three meals no matter how they’re served. 6.The only vegetables you eat are either soaked in grease or sweet corn. 7.Barbecue sauce is vinegar based not tomatoes based. 8.‘Calla’ greens are cooked with bacon Greece and served with cornbread. 9.Each meal is served with either big fluffy biscuits or cornbread made in a cast iron skillet.
10.Sweet Potatoes are for the main course unless their served in a casserole or souffl, then they’re for desert. 11.The higher the Murang and the more Nilla Wafers the better the banana puddin’. 12.The only meat in your meal has to be either fried or barbecued. 13.Pork Rinds are a snack. 14.Southern food must be cooked and eatin’ with no worry of what foods are healthy or not. 15.You have to eat southern food with friends, family, or both!!! •

•3 cups of corn meal •1 egg raw •pour milk in till cornmeal is at the consistency of a milk shake •1/4 of a onion chopped small •cover bottom of cast iron skillet with oil •get oil hot to the point it is starting to smoke but don't let it catch on fire •poor cornbread mix in and cook at 450 degrees till top turns brown •flip to other side cut oven off until ready to serve. *secret is getting the grease hot, but be careful that the grease does not catch on fire

You hit my sweet spot! Fried chicken, peach cobbler, BBQ... drool! I so want to visit south US for authentic foods especially Cajun.
