deposition is the depositing of solid material. deposition of sediment can occur by water, wind, ice, or gravity.
in glacial deposition the ice pushes all the rocks away and when the ice melts the water washes some of the rocks away or together.
during deposition around rivers the sediments are pushed sometimes changing the shape of the river. deposition can change the landscape of any place it occurs in.
