Advertising Homework

1. What is advertising? Advertising is a way that companies try to make their product look more appealing so you would want to buy it. t is also the way charaties and other people who hold events let the public know what is happening. It tries to make the event look really good so you will go to it. It will also remind you of helpful thing like, sales, vacanations, et cetera.
5. Discuss why you need to approach TV, radio, mewspaper and magazine advertising in a different way. TV-You will need to have good actors and actresses. It is like a short film but don't make it too much like a film. Find out who your target audience is and use colours, speech to attact them to the add. Sometimes the really horrible comercials will stick in people's head. Radio-The person who is speaking has a clear voice. You have a lack of images with the radio ads so you need to make sur that the sound is flowing smoothly. Do not let the background music over power so the listners can hear the ad clearly.
Question 5. Newspaper- You have to work with the fact that it could be in black and white. Not a lot of people go to the newspaper and look at the ads because the blend in. You would have to work with shading and use that to make4 the ad more interesting. Magazine- The people who normaly read mgazines don't want to stay at a page looking at a ad. You can make an ad the sticks out because that way readers will stop and look at the ad.
2. Why do we need it? If it wasn't for advertisement we wouldn't know about things happening or specials on products. Also if you hear something, the advertisements will tell you more and make it sound interesting.
3. What different types are there? radio ads, t.v ( commercials), the little pop ups and small adds on the side ofinternet pages, magazine ads, newspaper ads, here could be links in e-mails that you forward to your friends.
4. What information is needed in an advertisment? For a product: Say what your product is. Use emotional words to grab people's attention. Try to convince your audience why the need. For a campaign/event: Say what the campaign/event is. Where it is held. Some information about it. It is good to include the sponsers. poster yourself
