Feudalism Feudalism is a political and economic system of Europe from the 9th to about the 15th century, based on the holding of all land in fief or fee and the resulting relation of lord to vassal and characterized by homage, legal and military service of tenants, and forfeiture.
Positives Communities were based around the fief. Fiefs were self-sufficient. This means that, unlike modern economies, they were not prone to major economic downturns or depressions. Under the watch of the ruling lord or noble, peasants were defended from roaming brigands and bandits. Facilities were also provided (ovens, farmland, Feudalism also helped to edify faith in Christianity Everybody knew their place in society.No tedious schools to attend. Negatives: Children started to work at about 7 years of age. Also their no retirement. for anybody Woman didn't have a say.
