THE PLOT Max and the flock are in Africa, where they meet a doctor who would like to enlist their help in creating humans more likely to survive the world's destruction. Max says no but not before the doctor introduces Dylan, another winged boy designed to be Max's perfect soulmate., The flock goes back to Colorado to live in a house that has been built for them. Later, Jeb brings Dylan to live with the flock. After an Eraser attack, Max and Fang are ousted from the flock, and Angel takes over. Now that Max is gone, what will happen to the flock? And will Angel's horrifying prediction come true? Will Fang really die before Max?
