Gina had wanted to adpot a dog, since her parents had died a couple years ago. She was very lonely and needed someone to talk to. So one stormy day, she drove herself down to the nearby animal shelter. ' Hello, she told the receptionist at the animal shelter, I would like to pick out a dog. Of course! she replied, 'What kind a dog would you like?' 'i was thinking about getting a puppy' said Gina. 'Ooh!' came the reply, 'I know the prefect dog for you!' She led Gina to a small cage in the back of the animal shelter. 'These are are new arrivals. Their names are Heaven and Devil.' 'Why are they called that?' 'It was on a note that came with them' Gina thought for a moment. 'Okay, I'll take both of them.' The next day, Gina found that both dogs lived up to their names. So she had to hire a dogsitter to come and watch Devil.. Angel was fine alone, but Devil would destroy anything he got his paws on.. This arrangement was working out fine until the dogstiiter called Gina one day. 'Hello' said Gina 'Hello' said an unfamilliar voice,' I'm calli- 'Who are you?' inturrupted Gina. 'My name's Otis. I'm Tina's sister.I'm calling you to inform you that she was hospitalized because Devil bit her and died this morning.' 'That's awful! Did the doctors say if it was devil's fault?'

'Well, they don't see how it could have been him, so we're not going to press charges.'************* 'Ok' said Gina *************************** ****************************************************** Gina was very puzzled about Tina the dogsitter's death, but she hired another dogsitter.****************************** And another.*********************************** And another******************************** They had all met the same fate as Tina.************ All twenty of them.**************************** Except one.****************************** Rachel had been biten bu Angel not Devil, and now had everything she wanted in life, a husband and a high paying job. Gina was now certain she knew the cause of all the dogsitter's fate. She had remembered an old urban legend about twin dogs that if one bites you you die and if the other bites you, you are blessed with your heart's desire. Gina was now certain that she had adopted these dogs. If the legend was true, Gina only wanted Angel to live in her house. ************************** She went back and took Devil out of his and Angel's pen. She drove him back to the animal shelter and left him there. Never realizing that Devil had bit her. ************************************************* *********************************** Three days later, the local newspaper's front headlines read: *****LOCAL WOMEN DIES OF MYSTERIOUS ILLNESS-DOCTORS ARE BAFFLED AS TO THE CAUSE
