I would really like for y'all to read this. It isn't something I randomly came up with off the top of my head. This IS a true story. For Christmas my church is helping out a girl who is a senior in high school. She's been through a lot lately, and really that's an understatement. A few years ago, her brother was killed. At the funeral, her mother died as well. She was made to live with her dad. October 2009, he died. She then had to stay with her grandmother. But again, it didn't work out. Her aunt and grandma were in a huge car wreck that killed the aunt and put the grandmother in the hospital with serious injuries. She has an older brother, but isn't staying with him. Instead she is having to rent an apartment from someone. She is struggling to stay in school while having to live by herslf, with basically no more family. Please pray for her, that she won't give up on school - she is an extremely bright student that could really go far with enough encouragement. And also pray that she won't give into the lies of this world, that God has given up on her and that's why all this has happened. Trust me, there are people more than happy to bash the name of the Lord. It is terrible what she has gone through, but I know God hasn't given up on her. I know He can use her in a mighty way, and please pray that she'll be able to see that. I haven't met her yet, but I'm dying to get to know her. I'll keep y'all posted on all this.
