The Cove In the movie it shows us what the Japanese have been doing. They round up dolphins and choose the biggest and strongest one. Then they send the strong dolphin to sea world and they kill the dolphins left over. They say that the meat is important but it is not, because the meat is poisons. They sell the meat to schools knowing that they are poisoning innocent children. The Cove is a very interesting movie. It shows people that the Japanese have been killing dolphins in a very gruesome way (It takes about one hour for a dolphin to die the way that the Japanese are killing them) and after they sell it to Japanese schools. It may not seem bad that they sell it to schools but the dolphins have mercury in themselves. Mercury is very dangerous, for instance I remember when I was a young child, when a thermometer broke and the mercury came out of it. So the school had to get everyone out of the room and the school had to clean it up. The Cove is a very good example of what humans have done to the environment. We have been destroying what keeps us alive. The Japanese have big companies that drop mercury in the water. Then the fish eat it, and the dolphins eat the fish. Finally we eat the dolphins. After that it ends up that we have poisoned ourselves for not caring about the environment. We should try to stop this cruel dolphin killing. Like me you can post things on the internet and another thing that you can do is to not buy dolphin meat. So tell your friends to tell their friends about this cruel act and hopefully this evilness will halt. I hope that you care, and if you don’t then you don’t care for yourself.

What is the effect of extinction? In order to understand this question I asked myself. What is extinction? 1.Extinction is when a species die out. 2.Species is a group of a similar type of animal that can interbreed. 3.When it dies out it cannot come back again. Then I asked myself. Why does this happen. 1.It happens when a species cannot adapt to its surroundings so it dies. 2.Humans have been changing the environment making more animals become extinct. 3.Humans are the main cause of extinction. The effect of extinction is immense. Food chains get broken up, predators slowly die, and the preys grow too much. Pretend that there is an ecosystem of; grass, deer, wolves and humans. The deer eats the grass, the wolves eat the deer and the humans kill all. If the humans kill all of the grass then the deer and the wolves would die. If the humans killed the deer then all of the wolves would die and the grass would grow more. If the humans kill the wolves then the deer population will over breed and starve because there would not be enough grass. Extinction of one organism could make another animal become extinct or many more. For instance if all of the grass became extinct then many types of grass eating animal would die. I knew that if people in the world let organisms become extinct then people would to, so I started to think of what we could do. Then got an idea, we could use less petrol by riding on bikes, scooters, walking… If we did that then the world would not become too hot for animal and plant life to exist. Another idea is that we could recycle garbage and not go to places that dump garbage straight into the ocean, so the area would not be too polluted.
