Glowtone
tones that glow
*approx. .1% of the album was recorded at Winterwood Studios. This includes the lead vocals for the verses (except the end verse) of Compass, which I recorded there to try and attain a higher quality sound. I specifically chose the Neumann U47 Tube microphone and the Avalon 737 preamp for the recording, then took the files home and mixed them into my session.
Glowtone is a front name for Matt Brown, a 20 year old solo artist. He is-- I mean, I am (3rd person doesn't suit me) unsigned and eager to sign onto a respectable record label so I can actually support myself enough to write, record, and tour my music full time. As it is, everything comes out of my own pocket, and that necessitates working mundane jobs on the side. Besides that, I'm a full time college student and have those obligations as well. All the music on the album is my writing, and I perform all the guitars, drums, pianos, and of course vocals. 99.90% of the mixing, recording*, and production you hear is my work, done largely in a small private studio I own in Southeast China but also in various places in the United States, wherever I can get some barebones equipment set up for mixing.
