Emotions
Expressing Emotions- -Darwin argued that people express certain emotions in the same way, he called these emotions innate emotions.
Physiological theories: James Lang Theory- theory that states that emotions are reactions to what occurs in the enviroment that surrounds the person. Cannon Bard Theory- theory that states certain experiances trigger the thalamus to tell the brain, which then tells the body organs.
Cognitive Theories: Schachter-Singer Experiment- experiment that came to the concluscion that internal components of emotion affect a person differently, depending on their perspective on the social situation. Opponent-Process Theory- Proposed the idea that any intense emotion will, with repeated exposer, bring about an internal counterforce of the same magnitude.
