Saudi Arabian Women's Rights
Women make up most of graduating classes in universities. They cannot however take what ever subjects they want. They cannot vote, travel without the explicit approval of husband or a male guardian, drive, or work in most government offices. They also have to work separately from men. They also have to wear 'abayas' - the neck-to-ankle black robe, and cover their hair with a black scarf. They cannot do anything without husband's or make guardian's approval. Women in Saudi Arabia were not allowed to vote.
Women cannot go out in public without a male guardian or husband. They cannot use public transportation or restaurants without enclosure. Any women that break the laws can be jailed or killed.
Most laws are based on their Islamic religion. There are many rules and regulations for a marraige. The most important part is that women become slaves to their husbands and must do as he pleases.
