Texting while Driving
Twenty-eight percent of teen accidents are due to texting or talking on the phone while driving that is why a law should be made that says teens should not be allowed to text or talk on the phone while they are behind the wheel. “Why worry about something so dumb? “That’s what some teens are asking. The reason is because every teen should know the dangers that they face when they choose to text while driving. This is an offence and could even result in death. What are teens saying about texting and driving? They are saying things like “Alabama have more important things to worry about” or “Find drinkers not texters”. Most of the teens who say these things, are not one of the 16,000 who died while texting and driving. Some adults believe that the kids think their invincible , but the truth is proably half don’t think so.But gladly enough their are some teens who are been responsible and are saying things like"texting and driving distracts the driver," or "It's dangerous. More people lose their life due to texting and driving." In 2008, a kid named Will Craig told kids his story. He was in his girlfriends car,when she was texting and driving next thing he knew BAM!!! She totaled her car and her boy friend. Will went to the hospital with 4 broken ribs, a collaped lung, and head trauma. He ended up in a coma for eight weeks. After he relearned everything, he went back to school and told people his story, so far 10,000 people support the no texting while driving campaign.
