Teton Sioux
Tetons were known for agressiveness and power.
The Teton were very intent on controlling traffic through their portion or the river.
Tetons had a good relationship with the Arikaras. They traded goods and supplies for corn, which was essential to theri survival.
Tetons had no relationships with Lewis and Clark. Their first council almost ended in an armed war.
The Corps stayed 3 days with the Teton. During the stay, Clark took detailed notes.
