Dhoti Kurta
The Dhoti Kurta is the traditional Indian clothing of men. It is an unstitched piece of cloth around five yards long tied around the waist and legs. The knot is tied at the waist. Dhoti has many names such as Laacha in Punjabi, dhuti in Bangla. Some costume historians believe that the men's dhoti, which is the oldest Indian draped garment, is the forerunner of the sari. It is believed that up tothe 14th century, the dhoti was worn by both men and women

The Salwar Kameez is the traditional Indian clothing for women. Due to the region it is mainly worn in, the salwar kameez is often referred to as Punjabi suit. The fashion of Shalwar Kameez in quite old. For many centuries women have been wearing this unique and splendid attire.
A sari is unstitched cloth, approximately from four to nine meters long covering the body in various different ways. It is usually worn over a petticoat. The Sari is made out of both silk and cotton.
