The Rift Vally fever is am acute fever causing a viral disease that affects humans and domestokated animals. Rift Vally fever is most commonly associated with mosquito-born epidemics during years of heavy rain fall.
In animals it spreads throught mosquito's eggs. They feed on the live stock which transfers it to them. Other bitting animals can get the virus from the live stock also. Humans can get it from infected mosquitos and other bitting infected bugs/insects. Humans can also get it from blood, body fluids, or tissues of infected animals.
The most common victims are domesticated animals and humans.
The humans and amimals get it from mosquitos and other infected insects that can bite.
The disease caused by the Rift Vally Virus is the Rift Vally fever.
For most people and animals the virus is about a one that means there is little damage, but for some people and animals it is a ten witch means alot of damage. The humans or animals that get a ten can mean that they could lose some of there seeing abilty because this virus can mess up nerves going to the brain. Only 1% of humans get the Rift Vally virus.
There is no speshel treatment to cure this virus yet. They have found that im animals ribavirin an antiviral drug works and hopes it will for humans to.
