Puppy in the Pet Shop
You can’t buy loyalty, they say I bought it though, the other day. You can’t buy friendship, tried and true. But just the same, I bought that too. I made my bid, and on the spot Bought love and faith and a whole job lot Of happiness, so all in all The purchase price was pretty small I bought a single trusting heart, That gave devotion from the start If you think these things are not for sale. Buy a brown-eyed puppy with a wagging tail.
I chose this poem because when I read this poem, it reminded me of when I chose my first dog as a small puppy. I knew this dog will be a good friend of mine on my birthday in the summer. I saw the puppy in the pet shop and I wanted it the first time I set my eyes on it. Now my puppy grew and he’s a really playful puppy. He was once sick really badly, but I took care of him and he got better. Now he’s sitting in my garage with his brown eyes wagging his tail, just waiting for me to go play with him. I love my brown eyed puppy with his wagging tail.
I chose this picture, because this is a puppy with brown eyes. He is biting a treat which makes him look very playful and happy. If I saw this puppy for sale, I would want to buy it.
This poem has: End Ryme- The pattern is aa bb for every stanza. Alliteration- The last sentence on the second stanza has alliteration
