The Disappeared is a novel by Gloria Whelan. Its a story about a girl named, Silvia who loves her brother to death. Eduardo is her brother who becomes of one the disappeared, because he protests the Civil War going on in Argentina. Silvia and Eduardo write letters to each other although niether of them ever get the letters.
