Firefly
I’m sitting out on the porch one evening.. I see a flash of light in the distance. But I pay no attention to it, I see them all the time. Until it gets closer… it flies all around me. I sit, watching the light turn on and off.
My source of light is right in front of me when I’m surrounded by the darkness of the night.
And as it starts to drift further away,
Everything
gets
dark
again...
One little firefly can brighten my night. Just like you brighten my life.
You
are
my firefly.
The source of light when everything seems dark. You make it so bright than when you fly away everything seems that much darker.
But it's worth it.
I would love to be able to live in the light. But I’ve come to realize, that there can’t be light without dark.
So, I’ll take what I can get.
I just know that I’m lucky to have a firefly in my life.
