European Starling
The European Starling is native to most of Europe and western Asia. They were introduced to North America when Eugene Schieffelin released them into Central Park in 1980, attempting to gather every species of bird mentioned in the works of Shakespeare. It chases away many native bird species and can disrupt air travel. There really is no way to stop the invasion and because they are not a native species, they are not protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, allowing hunters to hunt them freely.
