4. One day after school Joey went to visit Joe while Joe was cutting then a terrible thing happened Joe cut himself pretty bad and was loosing a lot of blood fast. Joey was trying to help as much as possible but he didn't know how to use the radio. The Japanese soldier appeared and helped call for help on the radio he stayed until the sirens came down the road then he was gone. Now the Jap had saved two lives so Joey started leaving food for him on the rock.
3. One afternoon after school Joey decided to have a break as his ankle was hurting. When he could hear voices appearing from the bushes the man was named Joe he was very shy as he had bad scars from a past incident. Joe and Joey became good friends after that as Joey would get food from the shop for Joe and then Joe gave his old bike to Joey to have. Joe had been noticing that some of his rabbits had been missing and so was his good white shirt.
1. In 1942 a boy named Joey had moved to Biscuit Creek in order to get away from the war in Sydney and live with his Aunt Lallie. One day Joey went for a walk up the hill when he suddenley fell in a mine shaft. Joey did.'nt remember much except for that a Japanese soldier had pulled him out and saved Joey's life but no one believes Joey. He is now in search of the Japanese soldier to prove to everyone that he wasn't wrong.
5. After Joe returned home from hospital he let Joey and his mother stay at his house to help look after him. One night there was a large storm that had rain, hail and lightning. The next day Joey and Myrtle went for a walk to leave some food on the rock for the Jap but they found him dead on the ground with all his belongings as though as if he didn't want to be alive anymore. Joey and Myrtle buried where he layed for the last time and said a pray for him.
2. After Joey got out of hospital he became very good freinds with Myrtle. One day when Joey was walking home from school he came across a lady named Miss Tidcombe she invited Joey in for a cup of tea he couldn't resist as he was very thirsty. They began talking when she said that she believes Joey because she thinks some of her cats have gone missing and you know what Japanese do with cats.
