Hi everyone I am Helen Zhao. I go to Bucklands Beach Intermediate and I'm Year8 this year (2008). My strengths are maths, reading, writing, spelling and swimming. This year I got into Mathex again.
I am very proud of that because there were lots of students trying to get in. I joined the festival choir this year. I was also in the Literature Quiz which won the Auckland Finals.
I am a librarian and I like the job. I went to Eastern Zone Swimming but unfortunately did not get to Interzone. I have a brother who is 9 years old and in Year 5 in Pigeon Mountain Primary, my primary school.
My favourite authors are Tamora Pierce (I love every single one of her books), Christopher Paolini (for Eragon, Eldest and coming soon, Bisingr), Michelle Paver (for Wolf Brother, Spirit Walker, Soul Eater and Outcast), Andy Griffins ( for the Just ~~~ series... and the BAD BOOK!!!) and Anthony Horowitz (for the one, the only, ALEX RIDER SERIES!!!!!).
I live with my mum, dad, brother and granny at Half Moon Bay. My hobbies are reading, swimming, art, watching TV and playing on the computer.In swimming I am nearly at National Level, I already qualify for Auckland champs.
