Where were you when my heart shattered? When the memories of endless nights of love and passion! Day’s in the sun an evenings laughing together; fell away like jagged shards of glass? When the shards of my being lay on the ground like a corps drained of its life and purpose, staring back at me? When I swept them up, with tears in my eyes, into my hand and with a merciful breath, blew them all away like dust in the wind…
But you were not there to see the miracle as the dust rode on the wind and began to take shape, too rise and become a glittering fury bird of ice! I watched as the Winter Phoenix glided on the wind and return back to me and restored what was taken from me and forever became my heart.
