If you have teenagers, you need a happy break. A Mo Willems book = a happy break. 3. The pigeon wants you to read a Mo Willems book. 3 1/2. Even if you are an adult, his books will still make you giggle. 4. Did I mention he has won lots of awards, including three Caldecott Honors, two Theodor Seuss Geisel Medals and a Theodor Seuss Geisal Honor? 5. The books contain no commercials. 6. We have lots of Mo Willems books at the library, and you can read them for free. Free is good.

Mo Willems is a children's author & illustrator. He earned six Emmys for his writing work on Sesame Street and was a writer for several children's shows before publishing his first children's book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, in 2004, which earned him a Caldecott Honor. Besides Pigeon, Willems has also introduced children to Knuffle Bunny and its owner, Trixie; Cat the Cat; the dynamic duo of Elephant & Piggie, featured in a series of early readers; and Amanda and her much-loved Alligator, among others. He has earned 3 Caldecott Honors, 2 Theodor Seuss Geisel Medals, and a Geisel Honor. Willems has also been the featured Radio Cartoonist for NPR, and he also has created collections of drawings, wire sculptures, ceramics. Willems and his family live in Massachusetts.
