•He received his B.A. from the university of Washington.
•He then graduated from the Yale University
•In 1964 he revived his MFA
•Close had been known for his skillful brushwork as a graduate student at Yale University.
•On December 7, 1988, Close felt a strange pain in his chest resulting in a seizure. When he woke up he was paralyzed.
A brace device on his partially mobile hand, a sophisticated wheelchair, and other aids allowed him to paint again, and in the 1990s his work became freer and more lively.
