Your sitting in class, when the teacher introduces you to the new boy who is sitting next to you. She says that his name is Derek. As he sits down, you introduce your self, "Hey, I'm __. Nice to meet you." "Hey, __. So, I guess we'll be in the same class now, huh?" "Yeah, I guess so." Now, it's the end of the school day and your walking home, and you plug in your iPod and listen to 'Fallen Angels' by Black Veil Brides. Derek comes up behind you and taps you on your shoulder, "Hey, __" "Oh, Hey. What's up? How was your first day here?" "It was ... more boring than I thought it would be. Sorry." "Meh, it's fine. I know how you feel. It's a pretty small town; small towns are typically pretty boring. It sucks." "Well, I wouldn't say that. Not everything is boring. The begining of my day wasn't that bad, y'know. It was ... interesting ..." "Interesting, how?" "You'll see. Hey, you wanna get a drink or something?" You blush and flip your bangs in front of your face, so he can't see, and you nod. The next day at school, you see that Derek isn't there. You can't stop thinking about him the entire day. Is he okay? What happened? Many questions run through your head. But when you get to your room (at home), he's sitting on your bed with black roses (your favorite!!). He gives you the roses as you drop your bag in your chair, and you take them, "__ I know you've only known me for a day, but I love you, __. I know that you don't know me that well, but you know my brother, James. He's two years older than us, remember? I was always the one sitting in the tree house when we were little. I was the one he always kicked out so he could play with you and your friends. And I was, and still am, the one hiding in my room the whole time. I've known you my entire life, but I was too nervous to talk to you. When we moved, I cried for a week. I couldn't be away from you, __. It devestated me. I wanted you, no, I needed you. And when I heard that we were moving back here, I smiled for the first time since the day we left, three years ago. I was afraid that you wouldn't know me, and I was right. But I don't care anymore. As long as I can see you, I know that I can smile everyday, no matter what." He smiled as he said that. It was the sweetest smile that you had ever seen. It was the most amazing and the most special. As you put the roses on your desk, he slides his hand to your cheek; his fingertips went to the back of your neck. He leaned down and kissed you. As he pulled away, a few moments later, you both smile and you both blush. It was your first kiss, and you knew that he was the one.
