My Favorite Quotes by Shakespeare "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet." All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. "All that glisters is not gold." "Journeys end in lovers meeting, Every wise man's son doth know." www.enotes.com
Shakespeare was born April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. www.bardweb.net
Even though there is no records of where Shakespeare attended school, most likely he attended the free grammar school in Stratford. www.bardweb.net

Globe Theater Since copyright didn't exist in Shakespeare's time other theaters would make copies of the plays that shakespeare did. The Globe Theater was built by Peter Smith and it was built between 1597-1598. Since there was no female actors in Shakespeare's time the female characters had to played by boys. Since the boys didn't look like girls they needed to wear mae-up which a lot of them died due to lead poisoning. (Lead was in make-up.) There was a crest that showed Hercules holding the globe on his shoulders that said ''The whole world is a playhouse'' which was displayed above the main entrance of the Globe Theater. http://www.elizabethan-era.org.uk
